A Salmon is each of seven distinct species in the Salmonidae subfamily. The seven species are the Chum, Pink, Chinook, Koho, Masu, Atlantic, and Sockeye. These fish have a torpedo-like form with somewhat thick bodies that thin at the head and tail. Although every species is unique, the majority have long, hook-like mouthparts. Most of the time, their scales are silver, but some of them are also red in hue. These fish range in length from one to two feet, depending on the species. However, some species grow to a length of exceeding four feet.
